Matilda pig was laying down in her hutch gazing out watching the world go by. I walked up to her and she got up ready to run. I said 'hey it's only me' and straight away she lay back down again and let me come right up to the bars and talk to her.

Isn't it great when they trust you so much?
 
Know what you mean,,,,Wildchild is such a crazy girl but she loves to come up to the edge of the cage to say "hi" and then bumbles and jumps all around my hands....she is such a love...
 
Their first instinct is to run... but doesnt it give you a happy glow when its your voice that stopped her...x) She loves her Mummy x>>
 
Yes that is exactly it, I felt really really honoured and trusted. She won't let me pick her up usually, but tonight she was near my feet when it came to bed time so as she let me stroke her for once, I took my opportunity and picked her up and put her to bed. She hates going to bed, so she won't fall for that one again.

She is a thinking pig, hard to live with because she second guesses me, but very rewarding. She watches the world go by with her head on her paws, like a dog.

Harold does this too, even comes to me when I call his name sometimes, makes me feel all fuzzy insidex)x)x)xoxoxoxoxoxox)x)
 
I know what you mean! I feel soo lucky because my girls will rarely ever spook if I come over to them, and they let me pick them up without running all over the shop (most of the time!) It's such a nice feeling when they trust you :))
