If it's the one Ron is talking about I think it was from Staffordshire, they tested on guinea pigs and wasn't it animal rights who exhumed the body of the owners mother. I could be way off this is going back about 5 years or so.

I need to get out more and not look at the news...lol
 
If its the staffordshire ones they bred piggies for a lab that did the testing
 
I think you are talking about the 'Newchurch Guinea Pigs'.
Animal rights activists(sp?) used to break into the place and take pigs along with protesting outside there land and also dug up their mother. These guineas were bred from research purposes, the owners did not actually do any themselves, just bred them for that purpose. It was closed down last year.

Those look to be living in positive luxury compared to pictures I've seen of the Newchurch pigs. I won't post any here as they are quite distressing.

When they closed the place, despite rescues offering to take the pigs on, they sold them all off for research and the ones they couldn't sell were euthanised.
 
some people just make me feel sick to the stomach,
