I am sure a few of you would like to be in my shoes at the moment.
I am lucky enough to live in the same city as WIebke and as she was let down last minute by her usual cavy savvy sitter, Wiebke contacted me last week to see if i could help. Well as you can imagine i jumped at the chance.

I went to her house last week to met the tribe and they are absolutly beautiful pigs and they are very happy pigs with it. I am going into her house next Saturday to do a big clean out and wash bedding and prepare veg (as her neighbour is feeding the tribe daily)

The best bit is though is that 2 of the tribe are currently residing at my house Nerys and Hafina. Nerys is on daily medication for a fungal infection and Hafina has come along as her companion. They are beautiful and so sweet and a little nervous at the mo as they are in new surroundings.

Nerys is a dream to medicate and she is also having baths every 3 days and is so good at being batthed, unlike my lot who are not so keen. She is so squidgy and cuddly and Hafina has such a beautiful nature and is currently the more curious of the two. I think it has helped that they are in the same room as my indoor herd so they can listen and maybe talk to each other.

So who's jelous? lol x:)p

I'm not but only because my 6 pigs keep me more than busy! Although I am a bit Jealous that you got to meet the tribe but I hate bathing and medicating piggies, I can send mine down to you can do my med's! Wilma is such a drama Queen! :))!

i spend all my time doing some kind of medication as i am a paediatric nurse and if i can get children to have their medication then i can certainly get guinea pigs too lol.

Look out for a Jiffy bag, although it's life long so don't know how that would work! :x

I'm definitely jealous, though am delighted you've been able to help out because I know Wiebke was worried. Both "your" girlies are lovely, but Hafina is a delight, isn't she. (I'm lucky enough to've meet her Tribe a few times).

Lucky you, you're going to be so tired by the time Wiebke gets back.
Thats true with 17 of my own pigs and a full time job, not to mention my 2 teenage kids, 4 dogs and the Epilepsy support group that i run x zzz

I am very jealous!

I just love Wiebke's tribe. They're all so yummy and scrummy and oh! It's not fair! I wanna look after them too! 8...

Wow you're very lucky. Wiebke's tribe are awesome. You'll not want to give Nerys and Hafina back when Wiebke comes home.

oh my god, How do you manage to fit all that in? Do you have slaves?

I guess my husband is a slave, and my daughter Megan feeds all the pigs while I am working, but I like to keep active xx

I am ever so grateful for Jo because it is an enormous relief for me (and a very apprehensive) hub to know that Nerys is being looked after as much as she should and that Jo is keeping an eye on the Tribe and doing all the dirty work when I have no other piggy savvy person to do so!

PS: Of course, I have offered to step in whenever Jo needs it... And there will be some Swiss chocolate for her, even though it is getting much more difficult to fit everything into your luggage!

PS2: I'm missing my piggies!

LOl just buy another suitcase, i have posted some pictures of Nerys on your facebook wall so that you can see she is ok, she is such a dream to bath, she just sits quietly and takes in her surroundings. My lot do a runner if i dont hold on to them lol x
