I totally give up. My Boys will not eat veg, i have tried, Carrots, celery, red, yellow, green and orange bell peppers. Broccoli, cauliflower leaves, cucumber, parsnips, tomatoes, cabbage, courgettes and nothing. They will eat their meusli, hay, fresh grass and fruit(mainly apple, once a week treat). Do i need to be trying to supplement their vit c with some tablets or just leave them, i give them new veg everday and they just do not want to play mallethead

Ive got 10 pigs and ill be honest, the only things they would eat from your list above would be cucumber, peppers, carrots and broccoli (under protest). only 6 of my 10 will eat tomatoes - 1 will eat orange (if they are in the mood, but they shouldn't really have it anyhow as it can cause mouth sores), they all pull sour faces and parsnips cabbage, courgettes, celery and cauliflower leaves.

The things with pigs is that they get bored easily, i would persevere with the veg and keep giving them a variety every day - have you tried lettuce/salad leaves, corn on the cob, spring greens, corriander, dill, parsley?

clean them out and just put in a plate of veggies. When they have eaten some of those they can then have dry food and hay. I had to do this for a week or two with Bertie, now he will eat his veggies. Were they from a pet shop? Why I ask is mine was and I dont think he had ever seen a veg!

We got them from crealy. they have different things everyday. i give them dried corn to hang in the Hutch but they turn their noses up at that i tried mint this morning and cucumber for the first time and they won't even entertain it. I even mix it up in their hay ball but they they just knock it too the floor. stubborn little pigs x

We took in Albert as a rescue and for the first 2 weeks all he would eat would be hay and pellets. We mentioned this to the vet and were advised not to worry as he was eating his ordinary food and would develop a taste for the other in time. He started to eat greenstuff when he was put in the outside run and started on grass. Even now after being with us for 4 months his choice of veg/ greenstuff is somewhat limited. Although I wouldn't recommend taking his usual food away though as he needs to eat to keep his gut moving.
