Meet Bobby and Rufus,


I know you will all want to tell me off (go ahead 🙈), but these two arrived today. They were very much in need of rehoming. Very well treated at the centre but quarantining in my spare room just in case. Older boys, not quite sure of exact age.

I promise you all that’s it now. I am at capacity. 5 large boar cages is my limit and I like to keep space in case I need to extend for any fall outs etc. Hence why I’ve been trying to help find homes for those other lovely 3 boys at the rescue centre.

Rufus is very confident, Bobby (long haired) will take a bit more time.

Still feel guilty for rehoming the boys that I have after I lost my precious boy, but I do hope Odin is looking down at his crazy mum knowing that I’ll never replace him. No one ever can. I just want to offer love and a safe home to those who need it.

Thank you all so much! I would rescue an endless number of piggies (if I owned a mansion and won the lottery 😂), but I’m at my limit now as I want everyone here with me to have lots of space and for me to have a decent amount in the ‘vet money’ pot.

I feel terrible them being in a slightly smaller space in the spare room, but it’s only for quarantine. They can soon get in their new big house next to the other guys. Thought it better to be safe than sorry.

Don't think of it as replacing the others, just relocating your love, care & home space to some gorgeous guys in need of a forever home. :luv:

I'm sure Odin & Co will be looking down - proud that you can pass on the knowledge you built up through them, on giving your current boys a five star home.
They're passing on the 'baton' in the race of life - A piece of them will live on in your new boys, as will the love in your heart for your past & present Guineas ♥ .

No telling off needed, just a big hug for you & congratulations on adding these to your other stunning boys.
They've really landed on their feet with you. :tu: :nod:

You’re right, I learnt so much from my rainbow bridge guys and I hope I can continue to help piggies always xx
 
Your boys are absolutely stunning. Bless you for giving them a lovely home. I’ve three big boar cages and try not to look at my nearest rescue website because I want to adopt and love them all. A lottery win would definitely seal the deal 😁
 
They are beauties x
I find claws a rough indicator of age as all of my older pigs have had thicker 'talons' (like old people!) and the dainty little nails have been on the under-3s. Mind you I suppose this might have something to do with the surfaces they walk on..?

Thank you 😊 I’ve heard that before about the claws. My other boy, Banner has very thick claws and going off his history we think he’s around 4 now. But I suppose we will just never know for sure!
