So by now I've mentioned a lot about losing my 7yr old Chipotle yesterday & my other piggie, Machete, being very depressed. She wasn't eating her kibble, or anything she normally likes, not even her Vitamin C treats. The only thing she would do was nibble on some timothy hay & eat some green leaf lettuce. I decided to go to the grocery store to try & pick up some different stuff to entice her to eat, so I picked up some Kale. I figured it was close to lettuce so she'd probably go for it. I also picked up some stuff I like that I know she did too (I didn't want to waste anything just in case). I got some bananas, pears, apples, clementines, kale & carrots. When I got home I put the kale in, and she went to town on it. I figured that because it was similar to the lettuce that she'd probably do that. Then I tried the carrots & some green peppers, but she just turned them away...i tried not to get discouraged but it was hard..

Then tonight, after being out for a little I tried again & picked up the treat bag. The minute I did, she heard it, and came to the front of the cage making her "I'm hungry!" squeaks of happiness. I held out one of the treats to her which she just stared at for a second, but after holding it in front of her nose for a little she snatched it out of my hand & devoured it. Then she had a carrot & then a piece of pepper! I can't describe how happy I was.

I'm still going to take her on Tuesday to see the vet because of her hair loss, but I'm so happy she's eating.

:) Great news! What a relief
xx

that's great! what a relief....you must have been so worried! x

Very much a relief. I woke up this morning to her squeaking for food again. She still seems under the weather but at least she's eating. She's loving the lettuce & kale still, and is slowly taking other things. I'm going today to look at piggies...I dont think I'm going to get one today, I'm just going to talk to someone & check them out.
