I had an escapee tonight! I had the boys in their floor time run - it's in my living room and I block off an area between my couch and tv. Angus somehow managed to squeeze under the pillows and draught excluder I had used to block off the bottom of the couch and get under the couch! I picked up William, put him back in the cage so he didn't follow and set about trying to entice Angus out with some parsley. He then got out from under the couch (its open the whole way round) and was running around my living room (pooping everywhere might I add!) and for the next 20mins I sloooooowly tried to herd him into a corner and entice him with food. He's my skittish piggy so getting him to come to me wasn't really an option. Eventually I managed to grab him and get him back in the cage :yahoo:The sweat is absolutely pouring out of me haha. I was scared he would get stuck in the couch or something. Has anyone else's piggies made a break for it?

Oh dear! I lost Jenny under the coffee table once. It's like a chest and weighs a tonne. I tried everything to get her but she was new to me then and I wasn't as confident. I ended up having to fetch my husband. She was the one that went down the back of the sofa cushions our first lap time too so she has form!

Professional escape artist! :)

I call one of my piggies a Ninja Pig. He's escaped out of everything. His playpen his cage. (Sometimes you need a lid for your c&c cage) Snuggle time. Why do pigs like to push there limits

I've ordered stuff to make a C&C cage so i'm definitely considering a lid now!

There's always one. My ginger is very adventurous and always trying to explore where she shouldn't.

Peanut made a dash for it when I was getting him out of the garden run last summer. It was one of those apex runs with an outward opening side door, I don't recommend them, it was replaced this year with one with a top opening. So there was me and my OH trying to catch the little devil who was scared and running for his life up and down the hedge, I was terrified he was going to find a gap and go into next door. We got him eventually but next day I spent hours fencing in the bottom of the hedge both sides of the garden with chicken wire in case it ever happened again.

My boys got out of their run (entirely our fault) but Duncan seemed scared, was picked up fairly easily and then look all worried about his brother! Godfrey dashed around and then hid in a bush. The whole thing was incredibly stressful, so glad they're safe and sound now!

Every now and then you have a Houdini pig. Thankfully none of the current 4 are escape artists but I have had times when I've despaired of ever catching one of the little blighters. One of my Rainbow Bridge Piggies, Mrs Fudge, cleared her way past the piggy defences and then hid behind our very heavy pine dresser. She came out a couple of hours later, covered in dust and very hungry. I was beside myself at the time. She was absolutely fine, just ever so defiant!

I lost Thor under the cage quite recently - it's a big C&C held up by a coffee table at either end and aaaaall of the pig clutter (fleeces, food, hay, spare tunnels...) underneath. I could hear him ferretting about down there causing chaos but he didn't account for his intoxicating love of a fresh sprig of coriander. Katanamoon 1 : Thor 0 :))

I remember once sitting outside with my piggies. The garden was completely enclosed so I let them free range around whilst I was out there with them.

I noticed Fozzy had disappeared. Panic stations occurred and we all set out searching the garden. We just couldn't find him.

I went back into the house for some reason and I had a lot of wheeking coming from upstairs.

The little monster was up there parading and rumbling in front of the other pig cage.

He had climbed up the step into the house, gone through the living room, climbed up the stairs and gone into my room.

The same pig got out of his C&C once by jumping on top of his portaloo and jumping out. I've never used flat topped plastic houses since.

I've got a pig that's the polar opposite, when I have her out the cage on my bed if I turn my back she'll leap the not insubstantial distance back into her cage!
