As most of you know I got Isiah a friend, Ollie, as I didn't think Isiah should be a lone piggy.
They've been pretty good by not actually fighting but they chase each other around the cage to try and scare each other off. If one is eating food the other (usually Ollie) will come and scare the other away. They wont be in the same bedroom together and scare each other out if one is in there. They nip at each other and nearly all of the time Isiah looks at me as if to say "mum, why are you making me share with him?"
I feel so bad. Isiah was such a happy pig before I got Ollie. I really dont have the room to cage them seperately. I feel like I made such a mistake. I dont want to rehome Ollie because I love him, but he's such a bully to Isiah.
I dont know if they will ever just get along.
I'm still waiting for the bigger cage to arrive and hope that more space will cheer them up. But at the moment I just feel so upset for poor Isiah - I've ruined his happy little life :-(

Do they have two of everything in their house? and the more room the better for boys so hopefully the bigger space helps. Maybe try and give them loads of floor time until the new cage gets there.

Hi love it is just as likely that Ollie isn't happy to share HIS house......the new cage might just help :)
Maybe you could give them some playtime by themselves........but i wonder if they might call out for each other :)

I agree too. If you think about it in the way they see it. You placed a new, unsure piggy into the 'lair' of another :... If someone placed you into a strangers house you would feel uneasy, and in a guinea pig world the best thing to do is assert dominance to protect themselves. I think a new space will work wonders. Dont feel bad, you done it for the best outcome for Isiah, he will appreciate it eventually.
