I hate eyedrops by Tallulah hippo

Tallulah would just like everyone to know that she really hates eyedrops! But lots more eyedrops to come...

So what happened today hippo?
Tallulah: Vet trip! Cold hands! Green eye stuff and bright lights! Dont like it!
Is your eye getting better?
Tallulah: it no the vet says I'm naughty scratching my eye and Ollie licks my eyedrops off its got worse!
So what happens now hippo?
Tallulah: Hippo prison! More eyedrops! Send blueberries!
Do you have to sit in your carrier for half an hour after your eyedrops so Ollie doesnt lick them off? And do we have Remend corneal repair eye gel too? To go in half an hour after the isathal then you have to go in your carrier again so Ollie doesnt lick it?
Tallulah: Wheeeeeeek! Get off my eyes! Now I have isathal in my nose fur! I demand compensation blueberries! Why am I in piggy prison? Where's Ollie to help clean this gunk off my eye? Call the guinea pig union!

Not going well with the eye ulcer treatment, and costing a lot of blueberries...!
 
Oh Tallulah, Meg knows your pain. Last year she had to have 3 lots of eye drops 3 times a day for 8-9 weeks for her eye to get better. She hates being picked up and hates eyedrops so it was a challenge. But we saved her eye! Mummy and Daddy are only doing this for your own good.
 
I did try explain to Tallulah (and piggy daddy who thinks I am being very mean!) that we have to be strict to make sure we dont end up with a pirate hippo... and Ollie licking the eye drops off as soon as they go in with a mouth full of caecotrophs clearly isnt helping so we need some alone time while the eye medicines do their magic... but the betrayed piggy outrage is a bit too much to deal with, I think I just need to leave the room rather than constantly apologising and feeding blueberries and carrots and parsley while they all give me the (ulcerated) judgemental pig eye evil looks!
 
Poor Tallulah having a sore eye. We all hope it gets better soon.
Micah says that when he had to have eye drops he loved to wait until just before the drop went in then he would close his eye tight.
He says that was fun and meant extra cucumber as salvage had to try again.......and again..
 
Aw Tallulah, how dare those meanies get you! :td: You definitely don’t want to be a pirate though so just keep up those demands and it’ll all be over very soon! ❤️
Think you need to get demanding too Ollie, they’re obviously not feeding you enough if you’re stuffing your little belly with those eye drops! :D x

I think PigglePuggle is just very busy with a lot going on in real life right now.
I am sure she will be back as soon as she has a little more time on her hands.
Like everyone else I miss her stories.

Thankyou, @Merab's Slave , glad to know PigglePuggle is fine, just busy. I imagine that with the exams season just about upon us, there's an awful lot of extra work organising them to be covid safe this year, especially with lab based subjects. And then there's the piggies, goldfish, tarantulas, and also aged rellies too ... 😍

Thank you. It’s good to know she’s ok and just busy. I just worry when I notice a regular poster hasn’t posted for a while x
 
I'm glad to hear that PigglePuggle is ok. It's always worrying when someone we regularly see on the forum stops posting.

I often wonder what happened to the lady in the US who had the therapy piggies. She posted all the time and then just seemed to disappear.

yes I do too, that beautiful long haired piggie, can’t remember her name now? Hope they are all ok and PigglePuggle too, hope Tallulla’s eye have cleared up now and no more nasty eye drops x

Was that the lady that had a huge extension done on the side of her house and it was for the guineas?

Nova licks off Luna's eyedrops. But if we take Luna away from Nova, Nova cries. So we have lap time with Luna somewhere Nova can see so she doesnt cry the house down. My neighbours are lovely and don't deserve to hear a high pitch squeal.

I'm just glad its not Nova that needs drops. She's a no touch pig.

Your piggie / mini hippo is beautiful 🥰

Poor baby! Leela sends sympathy, she doesn't like eyedrops either, but has had to have them several times.
 
Oh Tallulah. You must be a good girl and have your eye drops with good grace. After all you wouldn’t Ollie to get the best veg because you can’t see it properly. ❤️
