I know that I am not a guinea pig so I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing but I am led to believe that some of you are eagerly awaiting news of my arrival and who I am.

Firstly let me tell you a little about myself and how Tommys mam also became my mam, my name by the way is Pippin a name specially chosen for me by my new mammy. :)

I was living my life in a tiny cage in Newcastle when one day our owners, I say our owners, because there were two more of us the other two were a baby boy and girl living together in a tiny cage. These two have been separated for for obvious reasons inbreeding.. Anyway one morning they picked up our cages took for a walk along the street put our cages down. And walked off, leaving us abandoned on the streets of Newcastle and unable to fend for ourselves, I don't what we did wrong ?/. Something which is impossible, we weren't exactly the best looked after all I am rather scrawny but putting the beef on now with some good grub inside me but defending ourselves in Newcastle, impossible 8....

Luckily assistance came along in the form of the long arm of the law, they realised we weren't in no fit state to care for ourselves (no we weren't breathalysed!) and he took us along to a lovely animal rescue were we met Joanne and she very quickly get us settled in and made us at home and looked after us we we needed a new permanent home of our own.

Luckily I didn't have to wait long, I went in to rescue on the 16th July and last Tuesday this lady came round to choose a hamster for her gran, and at the same time she was introduced to the other inmates you could tell her resolve not to get another pet was weakening so I leapt at the chance, literally! She seemed nice enough and seemed to care about her animals so when she offered to stroke me I jumped straight on her hand and looked straight into he eyes with a desperate look, it worked her resolve weakened and she offered to give me a home promising to return to collect me today, I did wonder if she would reappear:...

Well she did, she turned up tonight and collected me, I am a very happy little man I was told that getting dumped might well be the best thing that has ever happened to me, well if my new abode is anything to go by I am going to have a very nice life here, it positively a mansion compared to my last gaff and tomorrow if the post man appears in time I will have lots of new toys to go in a and a glow in the dark ball, sounds fun.

I know that the only thing that saddens mummy is the ones she has to leave behind, though she know they are all well care for and the ones she knows are in other rescues desperate for a new home.

Anyway I off to explore my new house now I even have an upstairs bedroom:(|) its fab and my tea was HUGE, all is looking well.

Anyway here I am
