My mum was changing our fleeces this morning. I like to help, but I was upstairs and she had moved the ramp. So I thought I'd take a flying leap (she really shouldn't be doing it without me) and I came down with a bit of a thump, ALL 1.3 KILOS OF ME. OUCH!

Next thing I know I'm being rushed off to see Malcom the vet because my back legs weren't working and they just kept dragging behind me. My mum was so worried about me and I think she felt really bad even though it wasn't her fault.

I think I was quite lucky really because my legs were fine, just a bit shocked and bruised. I had an injection and that was EVEN WORSE than when I jumped off.

Now I have to live upstairs on my own and I am not allowed to use the ramp until I am better. The girls are not allowed up. It's a bit rubbish really.

I am a bit stiff but otherwise I am fine. Just in case anyone else thinks of trying it, my advice is this:

GUINEA PIGS CAN'T FLY!

Oh dear, that was a silly thing to do! I hope you have learnt your lesson, i am sure you will be back to yourself in no time, just take it easy.

(am i the only one who had to read that 5 times until they realised what was going on?)

Yes, my poor mummy was extremely shocked. And all before dropping the young one off at school and getting to work.

My wifepigs keep popping up to visit through the bars and eat my newspaper, and I am doing a bit of oo-oo-oo-gling at them. My mum says that is a good sign and that I must be feeling a bit better.

I will let you know how I am tomorrow and if I am allowed back downstairs.

PS stop scaring your slaves/erm mummy .... you need them on side to get you well asap and to get back in with your wifepigs :))
