I live in Scampton village, famous for the Dambust
I cannot believe I have found a Rodentologist :)
I went to get some hay today from P at H and was looking at the notice board when I saw an advert saying Guinea Pig Boarding and Rodentology :) Her name is Lisa Walker and I rang her and chatted for half an hour she sounds lovely. She has 13 piggies herself :) She sounded very knowledgable about piggies.
I am definately going to let her look after my piggies if I go away this year and I am going to arrange to meet her and her piggies soon.

That is good news for you, it makes such a difference having someone you can trust to leave your piggies with :)

My own feelings... I would always rather use a vet.

We don't really know what training rodentologistss have had. If anything should do wrong, there won't be any procedures in place/ anyone to make a complaint to.

With vets you can look them up, see where they trained and when they qualified. If you feel they have been negligent or incompetent there are ways of dealing with it.

I am a rodentologist in Sheffield if that is any closer for Claire in Lancashire.
I would never diagnose and treat guinea pigs without referral to a vet but can give general advice on all matters Guinea pig!
