so i was walking around PetSmart this afternoon (i think it's a similar to PetsatHome for those of you in the UK), and i noticed this little pig all by himself in a cage. He was gorgey, he was white and ginger and had a little rosette on the top of his head. I asked the sales girl if i could hold him, and he was so docile and sweet (but so calm he didn't seem normal). So i took a better look at him, and he had crust on his eyes and nose, his ears looked a little funny, and just holding him for like a minute he sneezed 3 times. I told her that I thought he was sick, she took him back from me, and was looking at him and he sneezed again. So she told me that he was going to the vet straight away (theres a vet in the store), and turned his sign around so nobody can buy him. He was so sweet; i really hope he gets better. Either way i feel better knowing that i called attention to his unwellness.

awwwwwwww good on you love xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
Maybe you could pop into the store again in a couple of days and enquire about him :)

Good for you! It's just a pity they can't work these things out themselves, if they were looking after them properly they'd have spotted that themselves. I'd be sceptical that they knew he was ill, hence being in a cage on his own and they were just trying to get rid of him, sorry to be so sceptical but personal experience with the company makes me so! It's great you were there and could do something for the little man xox

yea i thought about calling. i really wanted to bring him home, but it wouldnt have been fair to my pigs who are healthy. also, i did ask why he was by himself and she said because he was from a different litter they didn't wanna mix them up (there was another tank with aby pigs in them right next door). That's right: a tank! Guinea pigs are not fish, the poor things shouldnt have to live in a fish tank! people upset me :(

Sure people keep piggys from different litters all the time! It's hard isn't it seeing an animal in need and not being able to do much about it :( if you did take him you'd have to keep him separate until he's well and then you'd have to try and bond him with your other piggy's, and then he may have other problems that the store won't tell you about too, poor little baby xox
