Felt like we all could use a laugh so I've taken a picture of my cage JUST after cleaning it!
I bought some snowflake wood shavings due to some recommendations and because I didn't like megazorb but i'm having some of the same issues.
It gets kicked about like no ones business and it sticks to the piggies. It's already stuck to the fleece cozy and bottle pad and there is a line around the outside of the cage >.<
I cannot wait to get my fleece cage liners! hehe

Hay is a bit annoying, but it doesn't seem to fly as far as the other bedding. Plus it's easy-ish to pick up, as opposed to little flakes of shavings.

I give my snowflake a light cover of hay to help keep it off the guinea's for awhile.
Planning on getting fleece just getting everything together before doing the change all at once (into a C&C cage with the fleece liner's)

I hate megazorb it's quite dusty, gets kicked out of the trays, attaches to my piggies and that's with it only lining the litter trays! I think if I had to choose I would go back to back to nature :D
Ps we have hay everywhere too!

I liked back2nature but I think the natural care fresh has been my favourite so far

Huh I tried that too but found that the same, funny how we all have different likes isn't it? I've seen something called papelit think its the same as back 2 nature but cheaper I might give that a whirl :D

I just want a substrate that's A. Cheap, B. Easy to clean, and C. Stays dry.

I'm currently using puppy pads with Fitch on top, but I am thinking of adding Aubiose on top of the Fitch, as I poo clean daily and my girls wee everywhere and the Fitch always seems to be ever so slightly damp...despite me adding more clean back to the cage.

Would Aubiose be OK? Would it get stuck anywhere on the Piggies? I can get a bale for £10 in a local pet shop.

I use Aubiose in the pigs hay trays, and also in the night side of their hutch. It doesn't stick to the pigs' coats, but does occasionally need fishing out of Mr Brunel's bits. That's why I now use it under hay, and use fleece in the day side of their hutch.

Why do you need to use puppy pads under Fitch.

I find Fitch very absorbent and dry (unless the water bottle decides to empty itself that is!). I use it on it's own and seems ok

Fitch is very absorbent, but sometimes the girls pee in several places and it can get go through to the pads. There are marks on the puppy pads, but they are not saturated or anything.

And they make it easier to pick up and stuff them in a bag to dispose of with the Fitch on top.

Ok this is an update...

Puppy pads with Aubiose on top...URK! Wee had soaked the puppy pads to saturation and gone through to the base of the cage. I did not have that when I used a layer of Fitch between the pads and the Aubiose.

It stank! Saturated puppy pads...£10 for 50 of them on Amazon. I don't know if the cheaper pads I use in the pen would be better, but I'm going back to a layer of Fitch in addition to the pads and Aubiose. I wouldn't have minded if the urine had not soaked through the pads.

I use aubiose on top puppypads[used like newspaper] 15 mm layer of aubiose.use megasorb in cat litter trays and put fiddlestix in the tray and stuff with hay, these are for my 6 feet hutches outside, ive 3 to 4 piggies in each hutch, seems to work well for me.:)
