That when I wake up in the morning, getting ready to take on my day, being a single mother, working full time, running the household, I always take a moment to look at my guinea pigs, feed them veg and give them hay, let them have floor time, it all just puts me in a place where I feel peaceful. I don't have to worry about them dissapointing me, I don't have to be judged, they love me, I can see it in their eyes when I give them a carrot, or we snuggle.

They just make my quality of life better. When I leave work, pickup my child and return home, I know I will be greeted with wheeks of joy, and somehow it makes me feel like the arduous tasks of the day and the stress of just being is insignificant to what I am doing for them.

Max, Hawk, Jr., Robot and tiny Robot, thank you, because every day, you make things better, no matter what. It is a priviledge to be your mum, and I will live up to your expectations.

That's all.x)

Beautifully said. I too find that my piggies lift my mood and I just love little things like seeing them first thing in the morning and they are all chomping the bars of their cages waiting to be fed. Such little animals with big hearts and it is truly wonderful sharing your life with a guinea pig...

Thats really nice you feel like that.

When I start my day before work, I feed the cats, feed the dogs, move the piggys to their day time run. feed them their veg, see to my kids, get dressed and then walk the dogs (I have to leave for work by 8am) I then spend my walk thinking why on earth have I got so many flippin animals lol :(|)

Then I remember that they make my house a home :)

Me too. I find they almost always make me feel better. I have felt lousy for months now but they always lift my mood.

Well said!

ahh thats lovely, animals do make a house a home dont they.I'm a single mum as well and know how hard it is,I'm up at half 6 making breakfasts for kids and animals sorting out packed lunches uniforms etc!i go shopping and dont buy the things i want as I'm weighed down with bags of veg and animals food and bits!and in the evening even tho I'm tired and fancy a snack but cant be bothered making it i still make sure I'm there chopping a variety of veggies for the animals.but i love just sitting there watching them play and munch away and I'm so pleased that weve not had them long but they are beginning to like me and are not so scared anymore :).i wish i had a big house to fill with animals

I feel the same - I couldn't be without my piggies first thing and last thing in the day!
