Willy had been a pretty quiet and immobile pig but last night he started wheeking and just wouldn't quit! My four gathered in the part of the cage that's closest to him wondering what piggy in distress that was... So I decided they should get to hang out a little. Willy instantly transformed to an entirely different piggy! I hope this can prepare him for a life with a friend, and that my four get some fun out of it too
I've been really nervous, though, that an impossible escape could somehow happen and that he would get one of my girls pregnant... Even though the cage is escape proof, I still worry... How do you people with both intact males and sows keep your sanity?!
It was so cute... Late last night when it had calmed down a little, Willy was asleep, banana style with closed eyes, in the front of the cage. This is a pig who hasn't voluntarily left his hidey for 10 days, but now security was more in closeness to other pigs, not in a roof over his head. It almost made me cry it was so sweet. To think he's been denied piggy companionship since he was taken from his mum just kills me.
