I love my piggies because . . .

Ok, so I have decided to do a little post on the blog ( www.hutchagoodlife.wordpress.com ) about why I love my guinea pigs. Too many people say "they're not as fun as dogs and cats" or "they're not worth it"

I want to write about why I love mine and the simple answer is because they are my best friends. They listen without judgement, love without question, and are there in your moment of need. My piggies mean so much to me.

What reasons would you give? Why do you love your piggies?

Because they make me smile. No matter what kind of day I've had, as soon as I walk through the front door I hear them wheeking and I instantly smile.

Plus, who can resist those piggy lips! drool

 

[Lilly]

Every part of their body is just so cute! They feel wonderful riding on my shoulder on our walk abouts. At lap time after their hand fed treats the way they sprawl flat out to let me know it's time for back rubs. And Hazelnut who lifts his nose in the air when I ask "chin rub Hazelnut?". And Peanut Butter who is very vocal and chatters all day long. At floor time the way they jump into their carriers when I ask "who wants to go home?" I could go on and on.....

They always make me feel contented and happy whenever I think about them.

I love the sweet little noises they make too

They have whole conversations with me, I'm sure of it!

I love the way they are so funny and cheeky. I came home the other day and I saw Kenny had let himself out of the cage at some point. I called out for him...no noise. Brought up a bag of lettuce and called out "lettuce time". Got a wheek wheek from Charlie in his cage and a wheek wheek from the wardrobe. I opened the door and he's lounged out on the floor, waiting for his lettuce!

I love coming home and getting up in the morning for a wheeky squeaky hello.
How they are always there for me and how a little cuddle cheers me up.
When Kasper follows me around the house expecting salad all day lol.

I love my piggies because .... they look like a child has designed them. They are literally a sausage with a triangle for a head with sticks for legs that make crazy funny noises and run around like loonatics
