That is a very worrying video, if that dog snapped there is really little to nothing the owner could do and it could potentially result in an injured Guinea Pig if not a dead one.

A while ago, I took pictures of my Guinea Pig and Dog together then I thought about it if he did turn my Guinea Pig would be hurt or dead. There would be nothing I could do to get him off quick enough, so I quickly learned this was a very bad idea. Afterall I wouldn't leave him unsupervised with a child, so why let him near and Animal which his instincts are telling him to eat.

I'm very sure that people who leave there dog with a child don't expect it to turn it takes seconds and it happens frequently.

Sonia, I know this is a youtube video my comments aren't aimed directly at you, but I would hate for people to think this is a good idea. As I imagine Guinea Pigs are badly hurt or worse still killed by dogs daily. This of course isn't news, as it's only a Guinea Pig.

Please everyone think about it? Is it worth the risk?

That dog is nearly indentical to mine x)
My dogs are fine with the piggies, I'd never leave them on their own though.
A while ago I posted a pic of my dog near my piggies and someone posted a comment about it but I really don't think either of them would do anything.
Last Novemeber Alfie (houdini) escaped from his indoor run and I found him about 5 mins later snuggled up to milo in his dog bed.
The little dog is regulary found near the piggies and when they're outside he lays beside the run until I make him come inside.
The thing with any animal is that you never know if they could turn so it's not worth the risk of leaving them.
