I just made my first ever little Guinea Pig fleece plush bed! And when I say little.. I mean little :)) I think Olive is the only one who will fit in it!
I made some mistakes, it’s not perfect but now I know how to make it even better next time! Practice makes perfect, considering I only bought a sewing machine a few weeks ago and this is the 3rd item I’ve EVER sewn it’s not too bad considering :lol!:

Here is Spike and Olive being forced to model it..

Spike: ‘ermm hooman this is a bit of a squeeze’

Well done - that is actually a pretty complex project for a new sewer and it came out great!
My first beds are all also too small now my piggies have grown somewhat, but now you know what you are doing it will be easy to make them a bit larger next time.

I have only ever made the piggies some fleece pads, hay sacks and tunnels. Something like that bed looks like to much effort for me lol. Plus i bet if i made the piggies one each they would either want to fight over the same one or not sleep in them at all. You should make a tunnel next, it’s so cute watching the piggies chase each other in and out till they are puffed and then use it as a toilet after lol which is not so cute.
 
Wow, you are becoming really skilled with your sewing machine. I’ve had one for 30 years and not really got any further than curtains and cage liners 😆 well done you!
 
Well done! Thats fab to say you have only just started to use a machine - I have been sewing for a while and the beds are not easy! And zips too - bane of my life lol! Keep going - your piggies will love them! x
 
Yes I would like to have a go at one of those. Made a tunnel once and a little triangular house (mainly hand sewn) but I’m not that competent, me and my sewing machine have a love x hate relationship! 😆
 
Wow! It looks great! I still can't sew in a straight line. My liners ended up very wonky, and I'm too scared to attempt anything like a bed!
 
Go you! I made cuddle cups for the boys a while ago but then lost the pee pads that go inside! And now I don’t know where the cuddle cups are 🙄 I may make tunnels over the coming week.

What are you going to make next?

Wowzers for a beginner you look like a pro :D

I mess about with my mums sewing machine sometimes, but it never looks like those. Xx

Well I went out and bought a new one a couple of months ago as mine was a hand me down from my mother. The new one is just as cantankerous as the old one! They can send men to the moon but the sewing machine stays just as frustrating!
