I put my house up for sale just before Easter and it's sold in just over a week. I'm now frantically looking for a new place! The people buying mine are looking for a quick completetion and have first time buyers. Obviously I don't want to risk losing my sale if I am not in a position to complete quickly. I've got friends who have said I am more than welcome to stay with them for a few weeks but obviously putting me up is one thing, but 24 piggies is another. They have said they could accommodate 2 cages.

Hopefully it won't come to this, but I was wondering if need be, would anyone be able to look after some of my piggies for a few weeks? It would mean finding places for 20 of them (six cages).

I just thought it was worth exploring this possibility now, and obviously everything would be provided for them.

Are they indoors cages or outdoors cages? And how quickly do you need to shift your pigs?

I live in Coventry, just off the A45; but I am a bit limited on space.
 
They were indoor pigs....kept them in my second bedroom. However, they are how in the garage. (Had to move them as second bedroom as piggy room wasn't really a good selling feature! :))) I have kept them in the cages they were in whilst in the bedroom, as my garage isn't really cold, and put blankets over the cages at night.

Have seen a couple of houses I quite like, and will go back for another viewing on them this week, plus there are a few more I want to look at. I am hoping to get something sorted as having to put my stuff into storage isn't ideal, but if I need to do so, then I guess it's better than losing the sale.

I know Coventry fairly well as I used to live there. If I did need to find temporary homes for them then it isn't going to be for another 4 to 6 weeks. Just thought it best to check out options at the moment.
 
Hi Debbie, I could help you out if you need it. I have a 140 cage at the minute spare for a few and i also have some room for a couple more cages. I have a 120 and nero 4 spare aswel. let me know if you need my help. Ill come get them aswel if need be. PM me if you need help x
 
Id help if I could but my spare hutch is outside and we dont have much space inside - dont think we could help out really, but if you get stuck can try to have some?

I'm near to Stourbridge/Kidderminster location wise - dont drive so couldnt help with transport.
 
If I'm home from uni I would be able to look after a couple. I am back on 8th May. Hope it all gets sorted for you and good luck with the move xx

Hey Glynis, Miss Pops is going to be on her way to you. I will contact the airline and ask if she can be taken as an unaccompanied child! LOL I am sure she will make sure they attend to her every need! Best tell them that she requires a special diet - Critical Care! :)) I'm just picturing her sat there with a little seat belt on, all excited because she's on her way to see Mummy Glynis!
