A friend from college has a landlord that has told her to get rid of her piggies, a trio of females all around 3 years old :-) they have a two tier outdoor hutch and they would have to stay outdoors so as not to upset my boars , they come with a rabbit also which I know is a no no but they have spent 3 years together so far happily but I have a dog crate so I could make that for the rabbit.

nice hutch and nice pets..perhaps the bunny thinks he is a piggie?x)

I think ill be tKing them . the lass theyre from eill have looked after them they are her bababies . they might need nail trimming and grooming but how can i rssist three piggies and a wabbit !

For someone who claims to be a Guinea pig lover I feel slightly embarrassed having looked at the first picture and said to myself that's a cute Guinea pig :)).

I obviously don't know the dimensions, but that hutch looks far too small to me!

i dont know the exact size of the hutch but I know I can fit 100cm wide easily and 100cm long in my car and this wont go in , the lass is delivering it in a picasso (big family car) and its a real squeeze in there.

If its a double level 100cm ill leave the piggies in there , and find the rabbit its own hutch asap, if its smaller they will probably get upgraded when I get some spare cash. If its a double level 120 I might take the ramp out and have it as a double hutch and split the piggies and rabbit and buy a huge hutch when I get time to save up for an amazing one.

EDIT: I have a spare dog crate so I can seperate straight away

Worst comes to worst they will stay together for a while but will be fed seperately :-) they are so sweet and I know they all cuddle up together so while its still cold they might be staying together

Ill also be blocking some of the mesh up with correx to stop draughts the bottom half of the doors for example

Minimum hutch size as per RSPCA guidelines is 2ft x 2ft x 6ft, with daily access to a 6ft x 8ft (minimum, bigger is better!) run.

I know all this is still in the "might" stages and nothing is decided yet, but was just wondering if you'd considered the fact that when you split the rabbit and pigs, you'll need to find the bunny a companion. Unsure whether its M or F, but there's likely to be some neutering costs involved, as well as requiring an even larger hutch/run than the requirements above!

The piggy sat on top of the rabbit in the first photo looks strangely like my Boxy xoxo

I have been approved to rehome rabbits from a local rescue , I have a dog crate that is huge, even I can get in it (I'm 5ft7) and sit up cross legged or lay down curled up in it reasonably comfortably , as the rabbit has not interacted with another rabbit for over 3 years its likely that it will not be easy to find it a friend but I shall try , its up to date with its injections and a female, I have not had an answer as to whether it is neutered or not yet. The rabbit is used to being indoors and outdoors.

Its all maybes for now but I am interested in taking them, the lass doesnt want rid they are her babies but her land lord has told her to get rid asap , and she wants them to all go together but local rescues wouldnt help (they wouldnt take all three piggies together) and she will get kicked out of her house if they dont go and she wont just let them go to anyone who wont care for them as she doesnt want them to be snake food.

I know nothing about suggestions to do with bunnies but I just had to say

Awwwwwwwww

i'm glad you will be splitting the rabbit and finding her a rabbit friend if possible. x) she will definitely need to be spayed aswell if she isn't already. there are some nice setups on the rabbit forum (rabbits united) where people have used dog crates with a run area attached. maybe join there and ask for pics :)

the piggies look so cute aswell x)

Landlord sounds like a bumhole! What is the issue with having animals outside in a garden? I can see why people who dont understand piggies might think they would be a bad idea inside, but in a garden? Honestly!

Hope something can be sorted.

The rabbit definitely thinks he is a guinea pig, looks just like one. I think they should stay together, there is such a bond there.:))

Awesome! It's very exciting isn't it - I recently got a new piggy, but he has not been introduced to the forum yet. I love all my piggies but when you get a new one it's interesting to watch them and learn about them etc.

Given that you have the means to do so, i would definatly split them. Simply because, as you know, its impossible to give them the correct diet while they are living together. And ofcourse the risk you to the piggies.

If you take them, i do hope all goes well :)
