Today I left my piggies at the rescue to bond with Örat, the complicated girl I'm making part of my fur family. I'm amazed and so happy that there are people (the lady who runs this rescue) who is willing to put down so much time and effort to provide a 4,5 year old pig with a family. The rescue lady didn't think I had what it takes to bond a group and she is probably right. I'm glad to have help from someone so experienced.

Bo and Martha together with Örat and some other pigs...

Chicken in neutral time out with a neutered male and a very strong female. Chicken, it turns out, is only a chicken to people. When it comes to pig relations she is boss...

I miss them so much. It's too blimmin quiet! I had a carrot before for a snack and had and noone to share it with.... I will go visit them every day!

How long did the women say it would take to bond them? I wish someone would have bonded my first pair of boys... second bonding was a walk in the park lol!

Just think you will 4 wee piggies back what is the girly like?

They will be getting well looked after. i hope the bonding goes well.

I forgot to say that first picture, of the run thing they are in is ace! They have loads of room!

Oh I know they will be well looked after... This lady is piggie-god (no blasphemy intended) in my world. She loves pigs and puts down so much time, money and love on helping piggies find good homes.

Because Örat has been returned because of bonding problems and because I live in a different city she wants to be ABSOLUTELY sure that everything is fine so she said to give her at least three days, maybe more.

Örat seemed very nice and laid back today, she is an old lady after all, but her track record shows something of a little bossy lady... She is INCREDIBLE soft, some kind of sheltie satin mix, probably. Her hair is longish but doesn't grow (yay!)

She sounds absolutely gorgeous and bless the woman for being so helpful! That is just lovely! :)

Aw, I can imagine it must be very quiet for you. They'll be back before you know it, and with Orat too! :) Hope the time goes super-fast for you.

How long did they lady say they needed to stay for?

I too will be sending my girls away for the day to be bonded as i do not have the temperment for bonding i would wimp out too soon rolleyes Think of them away on holiday on a nice beach somewhere, away camping for a long wheekend, imagine hard enough that they are on holiday and you are stuck at home you will soon be jealous of them!

I've been playing it cool all day but HAD to call her and ask how things are going. It seems to be going well so far and I will go there tomorrow to say hi! The holiday tip is good! I know they love it when they're with her!

I keep my fingers crossed that all goes well and you will get an extra p[iggy back tomorrow!

Having to put up with empty house is not easy, but well worth a good bonding by somebody who is as experienced and caring as that lady! At least you know that your piggies couldn't be in better hands!
