I Missed A Dose :(

I feel so guilty...
Theo and Alice have been on their mediction for four days now (today is the fourth day).
I've been giving them their doses at 10am and 4pm each day. Yesterday I completely forgot the 4pm dose and now I'm scared that I've messed up their whole recovery:( what should I do?
 
Well, we all know that we can't turn the clock back so there's no point in worrying about this. Naturally, it's not a good idea to miss medication but just bear in mind these 2 things ...

I bet you never forget again! - but you may need to work out a system to remind you in future e.g - post it note on fridge door or set an alarm (maybe on your phone).

We're human an therefore we all occasionally forget things - even important things. Human medications come with an advice leaflet and included in this leaflet is what to do if you forget a dose - for this very reason.
 
Yeah, you're right :( I'm just worried in case it doesnt get cleared up and I end up with the same problem on a larger scale when I introduce them to the other piggies again.
I definitely wont forget again, its really rare for me to forget important things. I think I'll set an alarm just in case.
Thats true, maybe they should include on of those for the piggies :P haha
 
What medication are they on?

Most medications that have to be given twice a day should be given 12 hours apart, unless instructed otherwise by your vet. If you're giving a dose at 4pm, it's only 6 hours until the next one at 10pm, but then it's another 18 hours before they get another dose.
 
Starting tomorrow should I give them it at 10am and 10pm? I've already done 5 days so should the remaining 5 days be done like that?

Yeah whatever time works for you. My pig is currently having hers at 5am and 5pm because I start work early, but finish early.
