CharlottiesPiggies

Hiya, I know you might criticise me, but my friend is looking for a castrated boar, I know I am rehoming Hazel and Blackie leaving Pudding and Mischief as a pair. Seeing as Mischief is only young do you guys think it would be a good idea to introduce a boy or should I wait till she is a little older?

He is very nice looking and very laidback, but I dont want to compromise Pudding & Mischief

Thanks guys
x

Yeah Its just I see so many castrated boys in rescue sometimes on their own and I think I kind of calmer older boy might calm Pudding down, because since the babies have been around shes just turned a bit wild and quite unhandable (she use to be so good :0)

eeeek I don't want that to happen, perhaps I should hold fire till Mischief is a bit holder and gets some balls (not literally, but you get my drift :)))

I am a bit confused here as I have not read your previous threads - are pudding and mischief both boys? or a girl / boy pairing? And you are planning on giving one of them to your friend? What will happen to the remaining piggy?

right Pudding was the mother, she had three babies (all female) I have rehomed two of the three babies leaving Pudding and Mischief (mother and daughter) as a pair.

if you gave mischief away to your friend, would that leave Pudding all alone? (do not know if you have any other piggies) If yes, then obviously I would not rehome mischief. If you do have other piggies to pair pudding up with, then I do not see a big problem...

Yes, there is a chance that boar and sow will fall out, but its quite low, and I have made very good experiences with this sort of pairing. The first time I did it, the sow had been on her own for 3 years at least, and I introduced a very young neutered boar to her, and even though she had been alone for so long and he was very active and *cough* randy, they got on fine after a couple of days squabble.

I might be wrong but I read it that she was keeping both Pudding and Mischief and adding a (neutered?) boar to the group.?/

I thought seeing as it says "my friend is looking for" that it would be a matter of giving one of the girls to the friend, to keep the boar that the friend is planning on getting company?

Now I am confused! :{

I read it that Pudding and Mischief ... mum and daughter was being kept together and CharlottiesPiggies was looking to bond them with a neutered boar. But then I went back and read about a friend looking for a neutered boar .... perhaps it is time I went to bed - or read things properly! :))

OK.....right girls.
In essence, I am looking for a neutered boar to bond with my two girlies (Pudding & Mischief)
