i have read the books and some say you can use normal beddin and somesay hay so i have been using hay but i want to try bedding and see if they like thatbeter *** do you guyse think should i give it a go

If you got to the housing section there are lots of reviews on beddings, don't use shavings they are bad for piggies as the oils in the wood are used for our disinfectants and can cause respiratory problems they can also dry out your piggies feet and make them sore. newspaper and hay is fine. My girls live inside and i used fleece with newspaper (some people use towels aswell), but your mum would have to ok you using the washing machine! Megazorb, aubiose and carefresh are good beddings.

Do not use straw as guinea pigs can get eye pokes and lose and eye!

have a read and make your own mind up what suits you best!

They do still need hay, it is important for their teeth and digestion.

Are they housed indoors or outside? The type of bedding they can have depends on where they are living.

I used carefresh for my boys house and i found it expensive and not very good. Bedding do you mean the white cotton wool I heard it can tangle and hurt a piggie hopefully somebody will be able to clarify this. I have hay in litter trays and there houses are just on fleece, which is alot less messy. Are your piggies inside or outside?

Mine are on hay and newspaper which is fine but needs a complete change every few days. I think I would like fleece better but they seem to love burrowing about in the hay so much I don't have the heart to change mallethead

My guinea pigs are housed indoors on Megazorb; but they are in a huge, huge C&C cage.

Before big cleanouts I toss in a mound of hay; they love running through it.

Hey do you have some photos of your piggies and their cage?

well

they are housed indoors but they dont use they hay they just squash it down and sit on it :)p

my boys have fleece for their bedding underneath i have newspapers towels and puppy pads.my boys love to lie in their hay and nibble it

mine are on fleece with about 5 sheets of newspaper underneath to soak up the urine. i clean their cage out fully twice a week and i give them lots of hay as its very important that they have this to eat (it may look as though they are not eating the hay but trust me they do, its probably just when you're not looking lol!) a hay rack is a good idea. :)

i have a hay rack and hay as bedding

i have a hay rack and hay as bedding so i think i am gonna use the small pett bedding i use for my gebil (ill check first to make shure its :Ayociexp61:sutibble for piggys)

Bedding for gerbils may not be good for piggies, so do try to let us know exactly what it is so we can help you be sure it's good for your guineas. :)

As they live indoors your bedding choices are a little wider, so hopefully there will be one that works really well for you and the boys.
