I need help and guidance To choose a new piggy for my grieving Boy

Hi
After losing our dear Darcy I thought I won’t have another one and rather give marsi (23/03/17)away but now I find my self in a challenge that I can give him away since I can’t be sure he finds a loving home since he has a broken hand that has healed but hand is out of shape
Now we want to find him companionships a new mate
I just don’t know what to do, I need guidance about what age or how to choose my new piggy considering marsi
Should I buy a new born or one that is his age or a tad older
Marsi is incredibly kind and calm
Would appreciate all your helps and advice

Piggies bonds mostly rely on personality rather than age. I'd go for a boy over 14 months so that there's no change in the bonds stability when the new boy hits "puberty". If you can find a good rescue near you, they may offer bonding services so you can see how the boys get on!

Where are you located @Mani77 ?

If in the Uk check the rescue locator to see if one close to you does boar dating.

Another possibility is to have Marsi neutered and get him a wife or two after the 6 week safety wait
