I have a problem:no::bye: today is 20/07/2018 and my guinea pig is outside in the rain ! :( And i tried to find it!but i cant! hes hidding somewhere..... And i just really want to know how to find him!:oops:please help if you know anything about this:soz:

Oh no! how have you lost him? is he lost in your garden or an open field? Guinea pigs should only be outside in a sturdy wooden hutch or running around in a secure run.

All I can suggest is putting down a carrier with his favourite food inside and hope he finds his way but sadly, as guinea pigs are naturally prey animals, their instinct is to run and hide

Hi! PLEASE never free roam guinea pigs without supervision; especially not a single guinea pig or a new one that has not yet developed a mental map of his territory, hasn't got any safe retreats to find sanctuary in and has not group to return to. :(

Place a carrier or several cardboard walk-in cardboard boxes and upturned basins etc. that carry bits of his scent, fresh hay and veg around the borders near any cover and then leave him until the end of the rain. The more you bash around the garden, the more you'll frighten him. If he panics and runs too far, he won't be able to find his way back if your garden is not totally secured.

Our guinea pigs have been domesticated group animals for thousands of years, they are not wild and they are not wired to live alone. They have also evolved to use their territory always from a safe shelter as their basis of exploration.

How long have you had him?
