So my boys had a fight tonight worse than usual and I'm separating them for the night is this ok i domt want my boys stressed about being parted but i dont want them fighting durning the night i have a place for one sleep but when i seperate them rico gets really upset and i just dont want them stressed
Someone please help

Can you put them so that they are next to each other so that they are aware that the other is still there so it will hopefully minimise the stress? If they are fighting badly, they absolutely need to be separated to stop the risk of injury but depending on the severity, they may need to be permanently separated if they simply can’t get on anymore.

Hi!

Can you put a grid divider into the cage and tie it to the sides?
The boar you need to watch is not the upset one, but the other one. If he is a lot happier when away from his mate, then the bond is no longer working.

Please take the time to read this guide here. You should find it very helpful: Boars: Teenage, Bullying, Fighting, Fall-outs And What Next?

Thank u I'm trying to find somthing to divide there cage but the only problem is water supply when i give them a bowel they just walk in it and ino that can be dangerous

Could you use a couple of shallow dishes rather than one bowl. Don’t put so much water in them that they are dangerous so just add a tiny amount but add a couple of dishes so that there is enough water spread amongst the dishes for the night, and then get another water bottle tomorrow.

Give them a larger piece of cucumber for the night if you are worried about dehydration.
Make sure that you always have everything in twos with boars, and that includes water bottles. ;)

There must be something in the air this last few days with boars! As long as blood is not drawn they should settle down eventually. Mine were bickering yesterday but they have got through it, good luck.

Yeah I'm going to go shopping tomorrow amd get things like a second of everything and then I'm going to get a play pen for them and if needs be i can use the pen fences as a divider

Get some cable ties from a hardware shop, too! ;)

How old are the boars?
Don't they fight more during certain age like teenage years? Also, if there are difference in age, doesn't that help?

A difference in ages can help the overall odds of success, but it is no surefire way that things can't go wrong.
Please read the teenage guide in my first post for more information.
