I Need Help - Severe Bloat

so I need your help I have owned guinea pigs all my life but nothing like this has ever happened I’m sure it’s probably due to old age (she’s 6 now) but I just wanted to check basically she is very bloated but is losing a lot of weight she also has one really hot ear and she will not let me touch her she screams everytime I try to pet her or pick her up I just want to know if it’s a cause for concern or if it’s normal

Hi! No that is not normal. Anytime your guinea pig is bloated. is in serious pain and is screaming when you touch them, they need vet care immediately.

Please see a vet ASAP; this is a life or death emergency! Severe bloat, a blockage or twisting guts can kill!

More tips until you can get her seen by ideally an out-of-hours vets and during her recovery (if possible):
Bloat, Gi Stasis ( No Gut Movement) And Not Eating

Nuggets ok! I was going to take her to the vets in the morning but when I went to check on her she was fine no bloating not screaming no hot ears, and yes I know her cage is way to small it’s just I have to keep her In this while the weather is really bad as soon as it gets better she will be going back outside to her nice big hutch
