Hello everyone I am new to this and I have just created an account because I am quite worried about my guinea pig Lottie and I am hoping some people can help me.

So a few weeks ago my guinea pig Lottie started bleeding from her bottom, so I went to the vets and they gave me some antibiotics for that. Then soon it was cleared up.

However I came back from shopping quite recently and I saw Lottie laying in the corner of my two guinea pig's cage in my room. Of course I thought she was just sleeping but then I saw she kept on twitching and she looked quite distressed. A few minutes later, I i could hear her breathing was very loud and she was sneezing so much.

Please help me because I am very worried about her and I want to know what is going on. Thank you.

Also if you think you can help me but need more information on Lottie then please ask because I need all the help I can get.

Hello, Welcome to the forum.

How is she acting now? She may have got some dust up her nose form hay etc... But it is impossible to tell without seeing her. If her behaviour does not return to normal and she is sneezing and coughing then you need to get her to a vet.

How is her breathing now?
How long ago was it you noticed this?

Ok so she is breathing and acting fine now and she is not sneezing and she doesn't look as stressed as she did last night. Hope this can help. :D

Also I noticed all of this yesterday after I cleaned out their cage.

She may have got some dust up her nose, if all is all well just keep an eye on her now.
