thankyou for any one has advise for me

He is healthy thats why i was starting to get concerned , i was told that a male over the age of one wont respond well to another Guinea pig . I'm a new guinea pig owner this is why I'm seeking advice . so sorry if my questions seem silly :o

Welcome to the forum, Harley.

Are you sure the pig is healthy? Has anything changed recently that may have led to him becoming withdrawn? Is he able to eat, is he eating anything at all?

There are two main reasons for a loss of appetite, and those are loneliness and illness. If he has been alone for a while, I would suspect illness as it's unusual for a pig to randomly eat much less.

Older boars usually do fairly well with pigs much younger than them; a baby boar aged under 4-5 months, or a spayed sow, are your options. Rescue centres tend to have quite a few single boars available, so it's worth contacting rescues near you to see if they can help.

No he is healthy and been checked out , he is eating small amouths but there is a big change in he eating habbits .and being very unsocial .

it sounds like he needs company,a baby is the best thing for him, boars do get along quite well despite what some petshops will tell you, post in the rescue wanted section to find piggies near you, chances are therw will be a rescue close by that can help you bond your boy with another to get a better chance at a stable pair xxxxxxx
