Firstly I need someone to point Teresa in the direction of this please as I have lost her contact details.

I have been thinking long & hard about doing this but it is not fair to carry on as we are. To cut a very long story short my family has has a horrific year and my girls are not getting the attention they need other than their basic needs met. They deserve better and I can't keep up with their grooming let alone entertain them as much as they should be. We are having a hard time keeping ourselves together emotionally & physically and need to accept we ca't do this.

I've come back here as I know it is the best place to find a home for them. I don't know where to start though as I'm limited by how far I can travel.

Any suggestions? I've put off doing this for as long as possible. :0
I wasn't sure what forum to put it on. :(
x

Why not contact some local shelters and see if they would take them on?

I'm so sorry you have to rehome your piggies :(

If you could give an idea on your location then people may come forward to rehome them off this website or get in contact with your local rescue xx

Thanks. We only have one local shelter as far as i know and it's Wood Green and they have a huge waiting list for rehoming as I sounded them out at my daughter's school fair.

I'm in N Herts.

What do you mean sounded them? I would not advise giving them to a fair as kids can buy them without their parents permission. I am sorry you had to give them away though/....

Wood Green isn't a fair, it's a very large Rescue, but it's true, they have a long waiting list for taking in animals at the moment.

Have pm'd you Teresa's mobile number I am sure she will be happy to take these piggies back when she has space to do so x -also sent her a text making her aware of this thread

If needed I have indoor room here if they need to camp for a couple of weeks until Teresa can have them back.

I think the OP meant that woodgreen had a stand at the school fair and they spoke to them about the pigs then.

OP - have you thought about adding a post to the rescue & rehoming part if the forum with info about the pigs?

Of course the girls can come back here :)

Sorry that you are no longer able to keep them but sometimes peoples circumstances do change and the animlas wellfare must be put first - well done you for making what is obviously a very difficult decision.

I've pm'd you my contact details.............

Teresa xx

Thanks all, yes, maybe I wasn't clear, Wood Green come to the school fair.

Teresa I will look for the PM when I can get back to the laptop as I'm finding it hard to navigate on my phone. Will have to figure out how to get them to you as I have little access to the car at the sec. Thank you. It will be one load off my mind. It's not a decision I have taken lightly and I have taken a long time to pluck up the courage. The girls deserve better though.

Thanks everyone.
