So, here's the thing. I have found two lovely boars who I would love to adopt and complete my little piggy family, since my cage is large enough for four pigs ... seems a shame not to take advantage! rolleyes

The trouble is, my parents are very resistant to the idea of me getting anymore pigs. I have got my hopes up so many times only to have them dashed. One time I even told my Dad I was going to email a rescue about some piggies, he said "OK", and then the next day when I got the reply they went beserk and I had to pull out of the adoption. I was so upset and I still haven't got over losing Carol and Clive, never mind any piggies I've spied since then!

Well, now that Ollie and Elliot are back together and the cage is huge, I realistically could add one or two more piggies without it having any effect on the space they take up at all (which was one of the worries before).
However, my parents still refuse to talk about it and it's getting me down again.
They know how important guinea pigs are to me. They saved my life. But they still roll their eyes when I talk about them and act like I'm a little kid obsessed with barbies.

Do you think I should just give up trying?

Do you mean you'd add two boars to your existing 2? In which case I'd recommend extreme caution, as boars are best in pairs and you could end up with 4 singles if they all fight. If you have room for 2 good size cages then that's different... at least 4' x 2' per pair, the more the better for boys!
