Sorry, you have posted this thread twice and I answered on the other one.

Here is the link to the only Northern Ireland rescue:
http://www.guineapigrehome.org.uk/gp/centres.asp#County Down

We have a couple of members in Northern Ireland on here who have rehomed from rescues in Scotland. They had to arrange some kind of home check for their piggy living conditions, though.

thanks

hey thank you i've been down to assisi before i was gonna go again but i know i will fall in love lol i was trying to be picky and wait on a long hair but i know if i go i will come back with some new wee guys lol my partner has a gorgeous little sow in the adoption centre in his work as well and she almost came home exccept someone else was lookiing to have her that day . i know i will fall in love with a couple and if a long hair comes along i will just have to buy another piggy home (what an awful thought) :)) yeah right i'm such a sucker for guinea pigs !
thanks amy

We're all suckers!

I started membership of the forum with two rescue piggies last year, now I'm up to nine! malletheadmalletheadmallethead

big time sucker

i am awful i have not had any for about 3 years now just due to work moving around and then having a baby i just never got anymore after my oldies passed and working for a pet company didint help although i think i only ever actually bought one from a pet store i always seemed to acquire them somehow lol. i just cant resist them and now we are settled and my son is two i just cant wait to have them here again i miss getting yelled at by little squeekers everyday. I always kept long haired pigs previously as i dont mind the maintenance and 4 of mine were from people who couldnt keep up with it another 3 were babies from one of the rescued sow's . i also had an epileptic boy who's mum had tried to kill him at birth obviously because of what was wrong with him but he lived until he was four and from the day he was born slept in a hat beside my bed he hated being alone and no other pig would accept him i'm not sure if it was only because he fitted or because i reared him but he was happy and it almost destroyed me when he passed so as you can see i'm a major sucker and i dont even care lol

Definately! I used to live close to belfast - in Newtownards. Worked in Bangor for years too.

I am a honary northern irelander as I work for a house valuing firm and I book appointments for the guys in northern ireland whilst sat in lancashire! I know a lot of the areas with having to use maps etc.. all day! I could tell you your postcodes :)) Omagh is BT78-BT79, Belfast BT1-17 and Newtownnards is BT23 and Bangor BT19-20 ? I am right? :))

Hoping to come and visit there soon as would love to see the actual place to match it to the maps etc..
