Big fight between Hector and Bob last night, they were a big rolling bundle of fur, I had to seperate Hector.
I can't believe it my two lovely groups have become a pair and 3 singles!

I am sorry that your boys have had a bad fight. It is difficult to get them all through the hormonal months.

Fingers crossed for your last couple!

Thanks Wiebke, I'm going to be catching up with you soon if I get the three singles neutered and girlfriends! lol

:))... I hate single piggies. I often celebrate the fact I have 3 groups Now. Although Milo and Esme are quickly taking over my room!

Boys.. Who needs them. :x

They're nothing but trouble! ;)
It's a good job I love them! :))

I knew it could happen. Bob and Hector haven't been getting on well for a while, just the odd teeth chatter and peck at each other but Hector had got worse. The other day Bob was just eating his pellets and Hector just walked up to him, pecked Bob's nose and ran off. Bob squealed so I scooped him up quickly. There's been increasing teeth chattering followed by squealing and running off from Bob. I keep picking him up and checking him over, I've not found any bites but he is very hairy. The last two nights I heard Bob chirping, he was sat on his own in the corner letting out the most awful quiet chirping noise. I've never heard any of them do that before. It was horrible, so upsetting. I gave him a cuddle and he curled up on me. I put him back in with them and just as I was going to bed Hector attacked him. Bob came running out followed by Hector who jumped on him and they rolled over together in a big fur ball. I just grabbed Bob out the way and kept hold of him while I got the carry box. Hector's not the brightest he just jumps straight in it so I left him in there to calm down while I built another C&C!
4.30am I went to bed in the end! I sat up with Hector when I put him in the C&C, he was going mad trying to dig and climb his way out, I couldn't leave him until he'd calmed down.

All very upsetting for all of us.

Can imagine, been though a similiar experience with Fred and Marvin. Goodness never again. With so many boys is there no one else you can try?

I tried Bob with Gerry last weekend and that didn't work but it did make me decide not to split Spike and Bob up, they were really lost without each other. George + Gerry is a no go. Hector + Gerry is also a no, they're next to each other and trying to bite noses through the bars! Hector is too much like Gerry to match with George, both too lively but George would be terrified of Hector I think. So all options exhausted unless I try George with Spike and Bob but I'm not prepared to risk my one loved up pair!

11th of January hopefully! Our vet does ops on a tuesday with a check the day before so I'm doing the rota for work at the moment and have booked the monday and tuesday off work so hopefully they can fit them in all on the same day. Going to ring on Monday.
They'll be ready for girls a week after Valentines Day which is rather cute.

Maybe they will give a discount too for more than one :))! IT is cute, I'd let them pick there own girl if you can. Too guarantee Success.

Oh goodness yes they can pick! I can't anymore fall outs. I shall be having words with all of them and asking them if they're sure before we come home :))

That's a good idea, 3 for 2 maybe? This is going to be expensive!
I'd asked Mike to help me cover the cost of George and Gerry's neutering for Christmas. He said he wouldn't. He couldn't pay for any man to have the snip!
But he will pay the donations to adopt girlfriends for them.

What were we saying? BOYS! :(|)

Must go to bed if I'm going to be up early to start remodelling again! (although Mike is still out at his work's Christmas Party so I don't think he's going to be much help tomorrow!)

Thats sad to hear. We have had newest pog Leo in with Chewie for just over a month. This was after Chewie and his previous cage mate Dylan had to be split up after increased rumbling, teeth chattering etc ending in a massive bust up. Both were injured. Dylan is still a problem. He's in his own cage and was neutered last week. He's become quite a bizarre wee pog. Seemingly calm one minute then being very loud and boisterous, biting/climbing his cage bars. We worry that he will set Chewie and Leo off but touch wood there has only been the odd bit of rumbling between the two.

I sympathise with you. Boars are very stressful. Our two sows (the pogettes) are so easy in comparison!

Aw, that's awful. Poor little boys and poor you!
So much for peace on earth :{ I guess Christmas harmony really has no effect on piggies.

Seems like you're planning ahead, though. Hooray. They'll be happy again soon enough. :))
Boys...I thought the hairy ones would be less trouble but wow...I was wrong!

I think they have all planned this so they can have ladies all to themselves!

Really sorry to hear things aren't working our for your boys.
I agree with Romily!

All three booked in for their pre op check on Monday 10th January at 3pm and in for the snip the following day at 8.30am! Fingers (and legs) crossed!
