I really did and I will be embarrassed about it for the rest of my life!

Both my girls, Lily and Rosie, got their injections today. Now let me tell you, I really really hate needles. HATE them! And seeing my pigs get stabbed (I love my vet, she’s great, I’m just a bit of a looney), it truly scared me. On top of that, I was exhausted, hot (warm coat, hat and face mask), nervous, and then boom, Rosie starts crying after her injection. After that it all went black for me!

My vet and her assistant, bless them, were scared to death and almost called the ambulance on me. I came around quickly after seeing Rosie munch away on lettuce as if nothing had happened. Lily barely made a sound after getting her jab. Rosie has always been a bit of a drama queen, though. Which is ironic coming from me.

We’re home now, the girls had a quick popcorn session and are fast asleep now, peaceful as ever.

I’m the only one left borderline traumatised, and it wasn’t even me who got the shot

You poor thing. Hope you are ok now. My daughter is needle phobic so I understand completely. Just curious what injections were they getting?

I treated myself with quite a bit of chocolate so I am definitely doing good:wub:

Both my pigs have tummy issues - gas pockets and pain when using the bathroom. I’m not really sure why or how, but it must’ve been food related since they both got it. The injections were to help pass food through their system and help with any kind of nausea or discomfort, according to my vet.

I can’t recall the name of the medicine right now though!

Oh no, poor you! Glad you’re ok now :) x

About 9 years ago I had a seizure at my local vets when I was in with my boys Reggie and Sheepy, scared the blooming life out of them all! :)) For a couple of years every time I went in the vet would offer me a stool to sit on! :))

I'm not a fan of needles either so I totally understand. I'm prone to going all dizzy (though not quite fainting) after injections. I hope the injections help your girls and the chocolate helped you x

This was the first time I've fainted, I definitely don't recommend it :))

Chocolate definitely fixes everything!

Only just caught this thread! Sorry to hear about your incident at the vets! Hope you are feeling better :)

Bless you. I thought I was bad around needles. I beg the vets to not accidentally hit my hand while I hold my piggies for a shot 🤣 I'm so scared but I try be brave to not pass my nerves to the piggies. They rarely care though.
