I passed my homecheck today so i'm currently making plans for my fifth piggy to come to Kent from Derbyshire.
I'm so happy. I can't wait to tell my girls that there is soon to be a man about the house. x

ahh congratulations - I bet your soo happy - Good on you - Another piggy with a great home- well done :smitten:

O0 O0 Congratulations!

I was sooooo worried when I had mine but all was ok and Digby was with me the next day :D :D

I am seriously so happy. I was really worried, i don't know why! So in the space of about two weeks i will have gone from two to five piggies! x

what do you really need to get a pass - i just wondered ? ? has anyone got any piccies of a nice home for piggies for a home check that would get a pass? :)

oh right so your getting 3 piggies then - thats great - 3 piggies with a forever loving home, ahhh :smitten:

Sorry didn't explain very well! I adopted two sows from the RSPCA on Saturday so when i get Ozzy, he will be my third adoptee and my fifth piggie in total.
I don't really know how to pass...which sounds a bit mad but i don't know what they look for! x

As iloveanimals has said...what do you need to do to get a pass? I am having a homecheck in August and I am now getting a little worried as to whether we will pass..... 98)

I guess they look at things like the size of the accomodation on offer (i.e. does it meet the minimum recommended for the animal in question?). Have you made provisions for exercise space? Is this space safe and secure? If you have GPs already then chances are they will also want to see your existing pigs and check that they are in good health, etc. I hasten to add that I've never homechecked before but I guess those will be the sort of things that a rescue would be interested in :) Most of all I think it's a chance for them to meet you and have an informal chat! Remember they are on your side: I imagine most rescues want to see their piggies in safe, happy and loving homes :smitten:

Congratulations jellybelly! :smitten: :smitten:

I think all areas are and rescues/RSPCA branches are different. Why don't you contact them and ask what you could do to prepare for your homevisit? What do they expect to see?

I have stolen this pic from another forum but heres Ozzy:
