Herds are great if you have the time and space, but can also come with issues of their own.
I think it is normal to want more when everything is going well, so maybe you could consider another boar pair (kept separately of course).
Herds and herd dynamics can be a source of great stress, and the more piggies you have, the deeper your pockets need to be in case of vets bills. You have a beautiful bonded pair of boars.
As tempting as it is when all is going well, don't make the mistake of overwhelming yourself or upsetting the balance. I want to adopt all piggies I see that are in need, but I have to be realistic with time, money etc. I currently have my two boar pairs and my single boar but will never increase my herd, only decrease it over the years. It's much better to put all your love and time into the animals you have, than spread yourself too thinly trying to care for more and more.
Your boars are gorgeous.
I've had 3 pairs of boars for years, didn't have any serious problems with relationships or finding a friend after a bereavement. Then at the end of last year we had a falling out of a pair that had lived happily together for over 2 years. Next came a bereavement and then another falling out. Suddenly I found myself with 3 single boars that wouldn't go together to make a pair. I've managed to juggle cages so that all the singles have a neighbour but it's been hard to come to terms with and accept that I've done the best I can for them with the space I have available. I don't have the space to find any of them a friend at boar dating because I don't have room to extend the cages. I've decided this is a good opportunity to start reducing my numbers as they are a lot of work and the vets bills for the last 7 years are over £10,000.
I wouldn't say don't do it, just be aware of what you are committing yourself to. It's easier to go on holiday when you only have 2. If more than one is ill it's a lot of medicating/syringe feeding. I've really enjoyed having them and love them to bits but I do look back now and realise how much easier life was when I only had the one pair, one cage to clean and one garden run to set up!
