I seperated my boars once and now they fight!

I have had two boy guinea pigs (Zeus and Eros) from the same litter since they were palm sized. They have ALWAYS gotten along but yesterday I took Zeus out of the cage for a about 15 minutes and left Eros inside by himself. They have been fighting since last night. What happened? :(
 
Did he get a different smell on him somehow? Maybe if you gave them both a bath together, then they would have the same smell and it might help, I've heard of that being done to help them to be friends.
 
Thanks Ill try that! I also called my local pet store and one of the employees there told me that its may be because when I took one out the other marked its territory. She advised me to strip down and do a complete clean of the cage. :)
 
mine have done the same, my stupid OH locked one out his cage the other night and the poor piggy spent the night in the garden mallethead. as you can imagine, I'm not impressed one bit, poor nibbles. anyway now when theyre both outside nibbles chases fudge around and attacks him, not violently, just nudging his bum. is this *** nibbles has marked his teritory? I'm worried, i dont want to seperate them :(grrrr:...
