I am so chuffed and happy right now! My guinea pig who I got in late June early July has never been the type of guinea pig to let you stroke him. As soon as you try he jumps and run away, chattering his teeth really loudly at you.

Just now, I tried to stroke him as I usually do and instead of jumping, fleeing and then chattering at me as usual, he sat there and let me do it! I am so happy! I just had to celebrate! ^_^
 
It really is! I'm so thrilled. :) I was beginning to wonder if he'd ever enjoy being stroked, as no guinea pig has ever chattered his teeth at me for just being stroked before.
 
Thank you. ^_^ That he did. I'm so glad we have reached the first point. I'm going to continue to try stroking him. He's always happy to run over to me and is usually the second over after Matthew so hopefully eventually we'll have a really good bond. ^_^

Yeah! Though today when I took Gilbert out for his medicine not even near Ryou he pegged it and then chattered at me as usual. XD; It'll take him a while but this is definitely a breakthrough!
 
Awesome :D Maple never use to let me stroke her but now she'll quite happily munch away and Rambo is a sucker for attention and only lets me rub her chin the rest she legs it :D

It's clearly amazing progress! Well done! Woop woop!
 
Good news, after time of stroking, let's hope you can pick your piggie up. As my Lola let you stroke her one day, then the next she kept on being her usual very attitude like-self.

Yeah one day Ryou will stop making a fuss with being picked up. He's extremely happy once I have him or put him down to run around and play its just the transaction he hates.
 
Great stuff.Am so pleased I'm not the only one getting so excited over moments like this. My family think I'm insane
