i think bobs got mites

just went to clean the boys pigloo and found a huge chunk of bobs hair inside.

checked him over and found a patch on his bum. looks very much like mites :-\

munchie definately doesnt have it though, his bald patches were already treated for mites, and its definately not.

i have some coconeem left, so am going to start it with bob straight away to try and get rid of it early.
 
i got him booked in at the vets for sunday, to have the injection. i told bob he could have his xmas present early if he was a god boy at the vet :smitten:

if it wasnt for the big clump of hair in the pigloo i dont think i would have noticed. the bald patch is hidden under some of his longer hair so glad i found it when i did

ooooo dont forget it will need to be washed after his treatment or the little blighters will be in it ;)
 
cant wait to get to the vet tomorrow. now ive found the mites, it seems to be effecting him very quickly. i noticed today he looks like he has lost more weight too :(

bobs ok, just tucking into some veggies, before setting off to the vets in a minute.

gah I'm so angry! i just got back for the vet, and was chaged £50! for mites!

my usual vet wasnt there so had to see another guy, who was useless :tickedoff:

he insisted on doing not 1, but 2 skin scrapes! my usual vet doesnt do scrapes cos she says their useless.

poor bob was so upset :tickedoff: and they charged me £15 for the scrapes, that i didnt even want done :tickedoff:

anyway bob does have mites, and a bit of an infection, so hes on baytril for the infection and annoyingly the vet was only willing to supply spot on for the mites. :tickedoff:

so angry!

anyway i still have the coconeem so i can treat him with that too

You poor girl the last thing you need is to be spending big bucks right before Christmas :( :(
 
only problem is, were off back to doncaster tomorrow to stay with the family >:(
 
i think I'm closer to people when i visit family than i am at uni. noone seems to live in derby ;D
 
bob had his antibiotics tonight he was a very good boy. he opened his mouth wide so i could put the syringe in, and didnt get it all round his face.

then he curled up in his new cuddle cup :smitten: :smitten:

and for glynis, yes i have piccies, i will post them soon ;D
