Hi all,

I have never owned any piggies before and I am not sure if this behaviour is normal. My litle boy Max is 5 months old and does not seem to be very active. I bought them (I have another boy too Milo) a huge run and put different toys in it. I sit and talk to them and feed them veggies and all Max seems to do is sit in his igloo with his head down. Is he sad? Milo is fine and runs about and plays with his toys and interacts with me.

Max is the more timid piggie when it comes to me, but he is in charge of Milo.

Is there anything I can do to make him more active? We adopted them as they were the last in the litter and were big for there age. He is quite a big piggie and all he does is eat and sleep.

The run was for exercise and I got the biggest in the shop and they also have a big cage.

I think all guineas tend to be lazy! I know all mine are. They have an 8x7ft run and all they do is slowly walk and chow down on the grass, ignoring all the toys and tubes!

Maybe the littlun is still a bit shy. It took months for mine to realise that humans weren't scary! xx
