We buried DT yesterday at a friend's home in Wales, in a nice field overlooking a valley. During the drive home I stopped off at P@H to get some burgess oregano and blackcurrant nuggets, several types of hay, and some new toys for Leeland's companion, when we get him/her.

As you do in these places you go and have a look at the condition of the babies they have in.. and after rheeling over the sheer number put in one pen I clapped eyes on a THE MOST GORGEOUS little sow I have ever seen. All her fur grew backwards, she was a semi long haired tricolour - with grey/brown, white and tan patches.

I wanted her sooooooooo badly.. but stuck to my guns to see Leeland gets some company more closer to her own age, who wont get adolescent stages whilst Leeland may still be recovering from ulcerated feet, and who is a little on the calmer side. Plus I promised myself I was done with the commercial side of pet proccuring.

And as I left the shop with a heavy heart, there was a HUGE rainbow stretching over the car park. I like to think it was DT's way of letting me know she's watching me now, keeping me on the straight and narrow for leeland! :p

oh gulp, thats such a nice thought.

Glad you have laid her to rest now, it sounds a lovely place x

This is so sweet. I think I saw the rainbow bridge as well. On the day I lost Popcorn, my boyfriend dragged me out the house to stop me from being a misery on the sofa haha. As we came out the shop there was a massive rainbow :)
I think they're letting us know they got there safely x>>

This thread brought tears to my eyes. Such sweet stories.

I bet it was her too! :) From time to time, when I'm at my mum's house, I still hear the sound of my beloved dog (we had her for 16 years - from when I was 7 until I was 23). I know that she's still watching over us! x

Such a wonderful comforting thought.. Lots of love to you and Leeland, hoping she feels better soon also x

I used to live there, it's on a strawberry and fruit farm. The girls used ot get the best of the best when I went out to pick fruit of a summer evening. I think she'll have the best time there :)

The right friend will come along i just know it x
I'm looking really hard right now, though if I'm lucky enough and the potteries has anything to do with it I just know we'll find a perfect piggy. There's a lovely little chap called Vincent in Newcastle, but I'd have to drive him 3.5 hours to get home.. is that too long in one go?

You've got a lovely boyfriend! My man likes to try distract me from the sad times but I always end up flumping on the bed face down. :p
I was down the entire week, waiting for the day we were going to bury her and it was just the nicest day, a little fresh rain and then gorgeous blue skies.. followed by the biggest rainbow. It was perfect!

We had that too, our wind chime in the hall used to spin even though it never moved, even with the doors and windows open. One time we were talking about our old cat when it span itself off the hook! And for ages I used to see dark things slip round corners ahead of me and out the corner of my eyes. Used to drive me nuts cos I hate feeling creeped out! I figured it was just tired eyes because I was doing my a levels. Ahhhh.. I miss having cats.

oh that is lovely, and my eyes have gone all watery think I must have a cold coming:red

Awh that's so sweet :) I kept saying that Popcorn was meeting up with my mums old guinea pig, Sasha & he was going to look after him aha. Funnily enough, mum said that Sasha looked exactly the same as Popcorn. Troublesome two ;)

It's funny how you end up with piggies that look similar, even when you don't try.

..and if they do get to meet up in piggy heaven, DT will get to meet Basil, Herby (Choc-chip Strawberry lips), Chive (Dudley Hotspur) and wee Minty. The faux show names are just for the funnies. We liked the idea of an icecream sow and a FLAMING STUD MUFFIN huspig :p

I definitely think that was a sign for you.

We had a similar thing this morning, our hamster Molly passed away and a few minutes later my OH called me to look out of the window and there was a big rainbow. I like to think it was my other furbabies showing her the way to the bridge so she could be with them. She has left her Mum behind (Fluff who she shared a cage with) and so I think they are looking out for her.
