sorry if you can't tell Ill try get a better one! it dose look like a Y tho!

Above his/her parts, where you hae your finger, gently push in,obviously not too hard,if it's a male, then his bits will pop out(sorry lol),this is how i was told to do mine and he was deffo a boy! x

How old is he/she? looks like a girl to me, but the pic isn't the best, is there any package there at all, as in testicular bulges? And if he/she is with a male they need to be separated immediately as soon as you know for sure.

couple of months old, and got him/her from a pet shop. He/she is on its own so no worry there is no bludges that I can see.

At this age you'd be able to tell if it was a boar, there is a risk that she could be pregnant if she was in with males in pet shop....

if she is pregnant and I think you're right about her being female. Is she not too young to be pregnant I mean health wise?

Well, she is only a baby herself, so its not ideal as she is still growing, however i made a similar mistake to you and bought 2 young "females" from a pet shop, one turned out to be a boar so got him nuetered, the female was already pregnant, she had 3 babies, one of which sadly passed away but it looked deformed to be honest. Apart from that she had 2 other healthy babies and was fine herself.

Its more dangerous for a sow of a year or older to get pregnant as their pelvic bones fuse so therefore they cant give borth naturally.

How long have you had her? How has her weight been? Can you post a clearer pic of parts and a birdseye view so we can see what shape she is.

She can be pregnant from 4 weeks, how long have you had her? A pregnancy is 10 weeks. Where in Scotland are you? We can recommend a vet or maybe a member can help yous exc him/her?

only had him/her for bout 2 weeks! I'm in north ayrshire in scotland.

Aw bless, she is tiny, keep an eye on her weight, this is a good way to determine either way, perhaps an expert can advise what the weight gain would be of a pregnant sow compared to a un-pregnant sow.

She is gorgeous by the way.

A healthy growing pig will put on the same amount of weight each week, a pregnant sow will put on increasing amounts of weight each week untill she gives birth. The best thing to do is get him/her sexed for definate, either at your local rescue, your nearest cavvy savvy vet (yes, there are vets out there who get it wrong!) or a local forum member who can help. If she is definatly a girl, then we can advise you what to do as she may very well be pregnant. Sadly there is no way to know for definate untill she is 5/6 weeks and even then that is a vets ultrasound. If she only has 1 pup she may put on very little weight, and never look pregnant.
