There is such a thing as barbering where one guinea pig will eat the others hair, if the skin is irrritated and red, it could be a bite, or a mites or fungal infection, picture would be best, otherwise trip to vets to confirm.
Guinea pigs do barber hair. (chew on it, ending up with the victim having very short and jaggy fur) If he has red skin it my be something else however.
hey um i cannot get a photo for he doesnt stay still, well he has short hair around the red irretated skin, it looks like a tiny pin top scarb to or is it something else ive tried to pick at it to see if it moves but no and gizmo wasnt hurting when i touched that area, what could be the worst issue, should i get mite treatment or just mite shampoo
i was thinkin for it is such a slight red like it could just me paniking my partner doesnt see it only that his hair looks chewed at i could get like mite treatment shampoo try that than if it still thre or worsens than vets
well i went to the vets 2day and they are all getting mite/lice treatment on monday, he also said give them a good wash for now as i could only get in on monday and i wasnt to worried for i think it could just be me worrying but * know just in case
