I Think Silvio Is Nearing The End

He's gone. He started to have trouble breathing so I took him to the vet and there was nothing they could do. My boyfriend and I both sobbed like babies in front of her, I miss him so much already.

So sorry to hear about Silivio. From reading your posts you did everything possible and made sure he was comfortable.
 
Are you using a 1ml syringe with the end cut off to feed him rather than a 15ml syringe. It's essential to use a small one often rather than trying to get a lot of food with a large syringe. There's less pressure been pushed into his mouth. I'm really willing you to win this fight. I too have been there twice & wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same.

I am so sorry to hear he didn't make it, you did everything you could. I know its probs of no comfort now, but in time i hope you can get peace knowing you did everything you could and that he loved you dearly. Making that decision was probably the hardest thing for you to do... but know that making that decision took such strength to say goodbye and help him over the bridge, from the sounds of it - it was his time to go. I am ever so sorry that Silvio's time to leave you has come; he couldn't have had a better mummy!

You are very welcome to post a tribute yo him in our Rainbow Bridge section whenever you feel that you wish to share your huge loss and your love for him with us.
 
I'm so sorry that after all your hard work he had to go. I lost a very special little boy a year ago after hand feeding him around the clock
,keeping him my jumper to keep warm etc lost him the end but, it helped knowing, like you should, that i couldn't have done anymore. You were a special mum and as he ran towards you near the end he loved you dearly and appreciated all you were doing to help him
I'm sure Silvio will be loved always but his loss will eventually get easier.
It still hurts and I think of him every day. You did all the right things.
 
It sounds like Silvio had a peaceful and comfortable passing. I'm sure he is at peace now - so sorry for your loss.
 
I'm so sorry to hear that he had gone over the rainbow bridge. He will be at peace now. You need to hold on the the knowledge that you did absolutely everything for him that you could. You are an amazing piggy mum and he knew how much you loved him. Sending you bigs hugs.

I have written a little about Silvio in the Rainbow Bridge section if anyone would like to read it. Thank you all for your support, only other crazy guinea pig people would understand how upsetting this is and how much I miss him.

I'm still winning. I didn't know a person could have so much sniffles and tears in them as has left me since last night.
 
Let it all out, I know myself how hard it is having lost 2 piggies of my own.
