I think something is definitely in the air tonight as all was silent then the next I heard chasing in the cage and rumble strutting from Ernie lol. It was all playful as Ernie was running around, pop Corning and Bert was sometimes chasing in. I do feel bad as they haven’t been able to have any floor time today as I’ve been out, but they seem happy. Just weird how it sort of happened. They rarely ever do it so when I see it I’m kind of happy to witness it, but I always check to see how far it goes. To calm it down before I went to bed I did give them some veggies and lots and lots of hay so that did help. I normally wouldn’t give them extra veg at this time, but as I won’t be down there to observe it just helped ease it

Extra food as a distraction is a great idea.
I hope all is calm in the cage this morning.
Everything was fine the next day. It’s really weird because they hardly do it. They are approaching five months next month so maybe it was just a hormone spike but it’s only ever happened twice (second time now) since having them

Expect these outbursts to continue, as at this age they are only just at the very start of their teens. The first main hormone spike is at six months and then the other around 9/10 months and that one is often a big one.

I’m just taking it each day as it comes. I’m not really worried as whenever it has happened it’s never been violent but playful. I still monitor it just in case, but compared to some of the stories I’ve heard I’ve been lucky so far
