I think i'd just buy dog food that's not on the list at the bottom of that page. maybe you could email the website and ask if they have a list of dogs food that is suitable?

and don't worry about posting the link ;)

Thanks guys, and sorry again, but wow isn't it an eye opener as to what they do behind you back, and i like pedigree chum adverts as well :o

Yup, I try to 'BARF' as much as I can. And also use the Natures Choice / Natures Menu foods, all wholesome stuff :)

I would never buy any of the dog and cat foods on those lists anyway, most of those (including go cat, pedigree chum etc) are packed full of artificial colourings, fillers, wheat, gluten and other rubbish, the list goes on. Nature diet, Burns, nutro, robbies etc are all brilliant foods made by companies that do not test on animals.

I know all about these foods as I am connected to the dog world, in knowing people who show, breed, work there dogs and because I have worked in a couple of kennels. My dog (well puppy) is feed on nature diet puppy, I think it is one of the best brands you can get. All the foods mentioned are either completely unhealthy for dogs or the companies testing methods are cruel and inhumane. I would not even think about purchasing any of these brands especially Iams and Pedigree Chum, which use horse meat, which is to rich for dogs. I have seen a few of the videos before, they are awful and I would suggest if you have a heart not to watch them. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

we use tesco's own brand..which doesnt appear to be on that list luckily :)

Have any of you watched the Iams one? That is just cruel and I have noticed the dogs on the video are Beagles, which are prone to becoming obese. :tickedoff:

after getting the gist of whats going on I cannot bring myself to click on the link so you will have to tell me if Maxs food is on the list its Jollyes own make chicken and rice, what chuubs and tins are on there as often I give him one for a treat although lately I've been using tinned tuna which he enjoys I add it to his dry food (dolphin friendly of course)

It's not on the list Michellemuffin. O0 Go on the link, I promise you will not see anything upsetting or distressing on the link page, just don't look around the website. :)

I would like to know more about the food you are talking about, as we have to buy a lot of food for Alfie he is an Irish wolfhound and eats a reasonable amount, any advice would be greatly welcomed, he is also prone to upset tummy at food change?
