I Thought Benson Really Liked His New Pal But . .

Well benson has had little mike for company for a full month now and they seem well settled together.

Benson is acting a bit old man and there have been little moments where he is a bit exasperated by his constant chattering companion trying to snuggle up to him.

Today we put the hayloft back on the cage . . .benson was straight up there but poor mike hasn't figured out how to use the ramp so he is stuck downstairs on his own.

I have just seen benson emerge from the hay, where he looks as if he's slept properly for the first time in a month - he POPCORNED twice (now benson is enormous and hasn't popcorned for years!)

And he has resettled in the hay!

Meanwhile mike looks a little lonely on the bottom level!

The miraculous powers of a good night's sleep! What a handsome chap.

I hope that now he can get away from Mike if he wants a break, he'll actually enjoy his new friend more.

Benson is stunning! I agree with @Posyrose , its probably a good thing only he can use the ramp. Gives him a little peace for however long he chooses x

Well benson has been calling to mike on the lower level and mike is responding but hasn't yet braved the ramp!

We cleaned the lower level this morning and put mike up top with benson. So now benson will need to go down for peace and quiet!

We go on holiday soon and have a neighbour popping in. So we've kept fleece on the bottom and megazorb up top.

Benson is pretty restrained in his toilet habits but mike pees SO much. And poops lots too so here's hoping the megazorb will soak a lot of it in!

mike has learned how to use the ramp! Exciting for us but possibly not for benson
