Adult Guinea Pig
This week I nearly lost Freddie. I hold him now like it's a gift he's still alive. I know pets don't live forever and I'll always be grateful for the memories and happiness they've brought to my life when it is their time to leave... but I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye.
The little chap came in Sunday night and I knew he wasn't right. By Monday night I was really worried. He was making a loud rasping squeak with every intake of breath, wouldn't move from the same spot, was floppy, his heart was racing and when I said goodnight I whispered: "I love you Freddie, and if I never see you alive again please know that I'll always love you."
Tuesday morning showed a little improvement so I held off calling the vet. By Tuesday night he was completely normal again.
Don't know if anyone else has experienced this?
I said a lot of prayers I can tell you.
Glad you are still with me little friend:
